Maximo came out more reckless than he has recently. Parky tagged him a few times throughout the round and Maximo become a bit more defensive. Maximo's strikes were typically wild and his wrestling was strong, shrugging off Parky's attempts to grab him. Both fighters had their moments of offense and each dropped the other with under utilized sweep kicks to the ankle, but much of the fight was spent feeling each other out.
