In the standup Barnett got his shots in, mostly single punches and knees, but Cormier was able to close the distance and out work Barnett with hard combinations and kicks. Cormier went for and got take downs in every round except the 1st, and busted Barnett up, avoiding all Barnett's submission attempts.
