Do you see why you need to respect the experts Denny?
Uh no 🙂 Benaidez is CLEARLY the #2 FLW and has been based on his accomplishments at BW.
You're suggesting that fighters should be ranked in a division based on their accomplishments in another division.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're trolling me.
Absolutely not. Weight divisions are fake as hell, especially considering the ridiculous practice of extreme weight-cutting. Frankie Edgar and Demetrious Johnson are the 2 best examples of fighters competing against bigger men because of the lack of opportunity to compete in a weight class of equally sized men because those divisions didn't exist in the UFC. Edgar being arguably the best LW in the world, and Johnson & Benavidez competing very well while losing competitive decisions to Cruz, absolutely carry over when dropping a weight class.
If you think my reasoning is faulty, I'd gladly bet you a significant wager if Benavidez were to fight Formiga. Do you really think Formiga would beat JoeB? Because I don't.
