Question: Should Hioki's dominating win over a top ten fighter move him to the number two position? Esp since Mendes has been inactive since his KO defeat. Hioki has three wins over top 15 talent in Bart (8), Roop (15), and Marlon Sandro (5). Mendes only has one over Cub Swanson (14). Thoughts?
Okay, this one stumped me for a while because based on the comparative strength of their wins Hioki definitely deserves to be ranked higher than Mendes. To be fair this is really a judgment call, but the reason Mendes is ranked higher than Hioki is based on their losses. Hioki has lost to far lesser ranked competition, while. Mendes is undefeated excluding his loss to Aldo. FWIW inactivity doesn't come into play until a fighter has been inactive for 12 months.
