Cub Swanson was originally scheduled to face Hiroyuki Takaya, but had to withdraw due to injury. L.C. Davis agreed to replace Cub Swanson, however Hiroyuki Takaya turned down the fight with Davis. The bout has since been scratched from the official WEC 35 fight card.
