In the first round Gomi did get a takedown, control position, and have some submission attempts, but he hardly landed any strikes. Golyaev landed slightly more. In the second round Golyaev still landed slightly more, even taking Gomi off his feet on two occasions. In the third round Gomi really picked up the pace, landing a takedown before Golyaev could strike and doing a lot more with top position. On the feet Gomi landed much more effectively.
