This event certainly didn’t live up to my hopes, but maybe it should have been my expectation.
Why has every Sengoku event been so blah? IMO, two reasons:
1) They make a lot of talent mismatches. Sure this time Gomi was upset, but these mismatches have far less appeal than a more competitive fight. 2) So many of the fighters seem so tentative. I think I appreciate “defensive”, “elusive”, “counter” fighters, but it just seems that the action is so often lacking in so many of the fights. Maybe they should hire the Shaws for some consulting. I hear they are available. At least the GP finals were good.
