Guida style is so frustrating and props to him for that. I thought Nate would be able to frustrate Guida with his reach and get the submission if it went to the floor. I got the first half right. I’m thinking Nate was also thinking he would get the submission, since he was more than happy to get into a clinch with Guida.
I still thinking Diaz did more damage than Guida. But I’m a little biased. I’ll have to rewatch the fight.
At least Nick and Jason didn’t start brawling in the cage.

while diaz definitely pwned him on the feet, clay absolutely stifled him on the mat, and in the clinch. it was a slightly more active version of lay n’pray. like roll’n’pray. i was really hoping for some more strikes from the carpenter, but he ground out a solid win. I thought it should have been unanimous, frankly.
