UFC 99: The Comeback was held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on June 13, 2009 in Cologne, Germany. It was the first UFC event ever held in Germany, as well as the first in mainland Europe (events had previously been held in both the U.K. and Ireland).
Mirko “CroCop” Filipović returned to the promotion to face Mostapha Al-turk. This was Filipović’s first fight in the UFC since his unanimous-decision loss to Cheick Kongo at UFC 75 in 2007.
Cheick Kongo replaced Heath Herring in a bout against Cain Velasquez.
