UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2 is to be held on November 21, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
UFC 106 was originally supposed to be headlined by Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. On October 26, the UFC Heavyweight Champion pulled out of his fight due to an illness that has kept him from training for several weeks.
Tito Ortiz was originally scheduled to fight Mark Coleman. However, on October 5, 2009, Ortiz reported that the fight was now off, and it later became known that Coleman was suffering from a knee injury. UFC confirmed that Forrest Griffin would step in to face Ortiz.

As you probably already know UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar pulled out of his fight against Shane Carwin due to an illness that has kept him from training for several weeks. The UFC plans have the Ortiz v. Griffin fight headline the UFC 106 card.
While both Tito Ortiz and /Forrest Griffin records demonstrate great drawing power, that drawing power is drastically diminished.
Tito was settling into a has been/gate keeper role before his hiatus.
A rematch with Griffin would have more appeal as an opportunity for Griffin to avenge himself and stake his claim as a top middleweight. But after getting clowned by Anderson, Griffin's relevance and drawing power is also diminished.
We will see.
Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson have agreed to fight on UFC 106
Obviously Koscheck has the more acclaimed wrestling, but Johnson is no slouch keeping the fight on the feet.
People may comment on how Johnson tends to keep his hands low, but keeping your hands up isn't necessary when your speed and reach allow you to hit your opponents at range and slip punches if they get inside.
