When Corey Hill suffered what many considered a career threatening leg injury back In December of 2008, he vowed that he would make it back.
Hill completed his long, tumultuous journey on Saturday night as he won a unanimous decision over Jason Trzewiecznski in Niagra Falls, NY.
No one can forget the gruesome way Hill’s leg broke as he threw a leg kick at Dale Hartt at UFC Fight Night 16.
Hill had always been questioned why he chose to compete as a lightweight despite the fact the he stood 6’4″ tall.
The criticism was even louder after the injury with many people pointing out that he was just too light for his frame.
All of that is in the past now as Hill, who gained popularity on season five of The Ultimate Fighter, is back in action and hopefully will make his way back to the UFC.
Hill exemplifies what mixed martial artists are all about. They are dedicated, loyal and won’t let anything get in their way.
It’s nice to see Hill back doing what he does best.
