Varner clearly won the 1st round, but you could see his leg was jacked at the end.
Varner's technique, composure and durability were very impressive.
Clearly a horrible decision with Shalorus losing the first 2 rounds and a point deduction.

I re-watched Varner/Shalorus. I scored it 29-27 like this:
1st: 10-8 Varner (including 1 point deduction)
2nd: 10-9 Varner (including 1 point deduction)
3rd: 10-9 Shalorus
I know your JB gave Varner the 2nd round 10-8 and scored the 3rd round a draw.
But I re-watched the fight and counted the strikes. In the 2nd round they both landed almost the same amount of strikes. Shalorus' leg kicks were hard. Do they deserve less strike per strike points than Varner's punches?
I also disagree that Varner out struck Shalorus in the 3rd.
All I can say is re-watch the fight.
