They spent the first round feeling each other out and neither did anything significant, except look insignificant. In the 2nd round Volkmann reversed McKee's takedown attempt early and took McKee's back and spent almost the entire round threatening with a rear-naked choke. McKee reversed into top position just as the bell rang. In the 3rd round they circled until almost 4 minutes in when McKee shot in and took Volkman down, but he did nothing.
I had big hopes for McKee, but I don't see how anyone could give him the fight. I scored it for Volkman 30-29, with the 1st and 3rd 10-10s.
