UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones, formerly known as Shogun vs. Evans is to be held on March 19, 2011 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Two preliminary fights will be streamed live on the UFC Facebook page at 8:00 p.m. ET. Two preliminary fights will be featured live on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET.
Immediately following Jon Jones’ victory over Ryan Bader at UFC 126, it was announced that Rashad Evans had blown his knee out in training. Jones was then told in his post-fight interview that the UFC wanted him to replace Evans. Jones accepted and is now set to take on Mauricio Rua in the main event for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.
