Almeida whiffed punches while charging in with his head down. Pyle was able to counter with a few knees. Pyle also dumped Almeida on the mat at one point. He got the better of the 1st round even though Almeida landed some legs kicks.
In the 2nd Almeida got some take downs, but he was never able to capitalize with any damage or threaten with submissions.
The 3rd round was close, but Pyle got the best of the exchanges with some takedown, a little ground and pound and some well timed knees. He looked sharp and well prepared.
