Brown came out aggressive, landed strikes standing and got a quick takedown. Then he dominated the first round holding Phan down and pinned against the cage and landed punches the whole time. In the 2nd round Brown was desperate for the takedown and never got it, while Phan outlanded on the feet with punches. In the 3rd Brown was able to keep the fight up against the cage for most of the round, but Phan got the better of the striking.
