Diaz started laying punches in bunches on Cerrone early and Cerrone was never really able to maintain any sustained offense. Cerrone had some luck with legs kicks and swept Diaz often, but never followed up, always letting Diaz get back to his feet. Diaz maintained his boxing and clinched.
