Ellenberger was controlling the fight early with more accurate striking and superior footwork. Sanchez kept coming forward. Ellenberger mixed in some take downs. In the 3rd round Sanchez scrambled to top position and trapped Ellenberger for a while, delivering a lot of punishment. Ellenberger was able to escape, but lost the round.
