According to Nielsen and TheMMAReport.com, preliminary ratings for the event drew an average of 222,000 viewers, an increase of 23% from the previous event, WSOF 16, which drew 181,000 viewers. However, this rating for the first event of 2015 was still lower than the average viewership for the World Series of Fighting on NBC Sports Network in 2014, which finished at 233,000 viewers.
