The UFC has done it again with another packed card at UFC 112. The talent is getting ridiculous! Two weeks separate fight-cards with GSP/Hardy/Carwin/Mir and Silva/Maia/Penn/Edgar. Wow, it honestly doesn’t get any better than this. Much like I expected GSP and Carwin to both win in easy fashion, I expect the same out of B.J. Penn and Anderson Silva.

Even though Maia last fight stood the entire time with Dan Miller and stated afterward he did it to prove he has a stand-up game… if he tries to stand with Silva, the fight will be a joke.. if he tries to take Silva to the ground (what Maia is best at), Silva won’t have any of it and own Demian even if he is a 2nd-degree black belt. Silva holds black-belts in Judo, Taek Kwon Do, and BJJ with a yellow-rope in Capoeira AND most important is the best Muay Thai Fighter in MMA. Silva will own Maia in my mind.
And after B.J Penn is done making quick work of Frankie Edgar, he will move back up to Welterweight for GSP vs Penn: 3 .. there is simply no competition for Penn is lightweight. Edgar has beat Sean Sherk and Tyson Griffin but good luck going against the likes of B.J.
