Not to take anything away from Nate, but that win was lucky on his part. He definitely proved his resiliency and came back great in the second round, but Kurt should have seen that triangle coming. I have no explanation for why he didn’t (cockiness, laziness, etc.), but I certainly saw it coming well in advance. After all, it was obvious going into the fight that Nate’s guard is a dangerous place. So kudos to Nate, but I doubt that would work against his upcoming competition, which isn’t to say he can’t win, he’ll just need to be a little slicker.
Speaking of competition, I would like to see Nate fight Tyson Griffin next.
