I don’t normally do this, but here are my picks for the only 3 fights I have any feelings about:
Georges “Rush” St. Pierre vs. BJ “The Prodigy” Penn:
BJ via RNC, R4. I know this is a underdog pick, but I am hopeful that BJ’s heart will overcome GSP’s athleticism. Remember, BJ was the one who wanted this fight and GSP can be intimidated.
Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida vs. Thiago Silva:
Silva via TKO, R2. I don’t think Machida has ever fought someone like Silva…a BEAST with a matching (13-0) undefeated record.
Nate Diaz vs. Clay “The Carpenter” Guida:
Guida via TKO, R2. Side Note: I LOVE the Diaz bros. I find them highly entertaining and “real”. But, I think Clay may be hitting his prime right now as he’s claimed. I think he will be too much for Diaz to handle and unless he falls into a triangle and can’t pull himself out, which I’m sure he’s been practicing day and night, he will hand Nate his first loss in the octagon.
Warren, Those are the most ridiculous picks I’ve ever heard. Who let you write for this site anyway?
