I didn't think Shogun deserved this fight, and I didn't think he had any chance, but I don't see how the judges could have scored that fight for Machida. I hope Shogun gets an instant rematch.

the decision was a travesty and BS, but that doesn't take away from the fight being very entertaining
I know this is speculation, but I'm saying that Machida is going to definitively defeat Shogun in the rematch. My rationale is based on a few things. If you take Machida at his word, he thought he was winning the fight until the last round. Moreover, we've seen Machida do things in fights that he didn't do against Shogun and it wasn't because of anything that Shogun did. Now both fighters are in a position that they can't afford to repeat their performance. I believe that Machida, for whatever reason or rumor you choose to believe did not fight at the best of his ability. He'll be able to capitalize on the opportunities that he didn't in this fight and generally close the distance on Shogun. On the other hand this was the best Shogun we've ever seen. What is he going to do, be more aggressive?
I can certainly appreciate the assertion that Machida needs Shogun like Batman and Superman need The Joker and Lex Luther, respectively.
