Jose Canseco Looks To Cash In On Herschel Walker’s Success

By Bryan Levick

With his victory over Greg Nagy this past Saturday night, 47 year old Herschel Walker proved to himself and the world that age is just a number.

Unfortunately his success has led others to believe that they too can compete in mixed martial arts.

46 year old former homerun king and steroid extraordinaire Jose Canseco is looking to show the world that Walker isn’t the only 40-something former athlete who can be competitive in MMA.

It’s not like we haven’t been down this road before with Canseco. It was only eight months ago when Canseco took part of Dream’s Super Hulk tournament to Hong Man Choi.

For those of you who don’t remember, Canseco ran around the ring for nearly a minute, hurt his leg and begged for mercy when Choi started to unload on him while he lay on the ground in the fetal position.

In a tweet released yesterday by Canseco, the former American League M.V.P. stated that he may have show Walker who the real bad boy of the sports industry is.

He went on to announce to the powers that be that he wants in.

Who will be the next to try their hand at mixed martial arts? Is Hulk Hogan available?

Thankfully this is America and any sane organization would never even consider having Canseco fight on one of their cards, and it’s highly doubtful Dream will ask him back after his pitiful performance.

Walker’s success is awesome, what a way to show others who think they are too old to accomplish something that they are wrong.

He is an inspiration to millions of people, unfortunately one of those people happened to be Canseco!
