UFC 109 Betting Odds: “Grumpy Old Men”

UFC 109 Relentless takes place at 10pm ET on February 6th, at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Vegas, brodcasted PPV only.

UFC is matching up two mighty relics: Randy Couture (46) and Mark Coleman (45). Combined, we have 91 years dancing in the cage. This is the double record: first in combined fighter years and second this is the first time two hall of famers are fighting. I hope both have enough fuel to dance till the end.

Couture is -450 favorite over +325 Coleman at this online sportsbook. If you ask me, 4.5 to 1 is a bit too pricey for Couture.

Marquardt vs Sonnen should be a great fight. Many believe Marquardt is ready for a title shot and that he will blow through Sonnen, thus the betting line on Marquardt being -525 favorite with +375 comeback on Sonnen. No opinion here, but I think Sonnen can put up a fight.

Maia (-350) vs Miller (+250). Maia had stronger opponents and he is much better on the ground.

Serra (-150) vs Trigg (+120) – I have no opinion on this one.

Mike Swick (-200) vs Paulo Thiago (+160) – I will always take a jiu-jitsu fighter over a kickboxer. My money is on Thiago here.

This is an interesting card and we should have some entertaining fights.
