According to Nielsen and TheMMAReport.com, preliminary ratings for the UFC 183 preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 averaged 1.546 million viewers, a 50% increase from the 1.04 million viewers for the UFC 182 preliminary card. This made the event the seond-most watched preliminary card on Fox Sports 1, behind only UFC 168, which drew 1,556,000 viewers. Viewership peaked in the 9:30 PM – 9:45 PM segment, with 1,992,000 viewers, the highest ever peak for a PPV preliminary card in FS1 history.
