In a slugfest Gustafsson showed more durability, harder punches and a willingness to fight to the ground. At least against Diabate he showed good takedowns, ground and pound and submissions. Diabate was totally lost on the ground. He couldn't mount any offense, get back up or even tuck his chin to defend against the choke.
